BECOMING MAGNETIC

If you spend enough time in the self-development space you’ll eventually learn about magnetism. It simply boils down to thinking of yourself as a magnet and pulling in things that are aligned and on the same energetic frequency as you. It is the second step in expansive self-development after you shift your mindset and determine who you want to be and how you want to live. It is the process of attracting the things that are aligned with you and pulling them closer. As I have talked about before, when we focus on who we want to be and embody it we become that.

The more I have dived into this topic and it’s own influence on my life I have found that it is very closely related to physics and understanding gravity. The nice thing is you don’t need a PhD in physics or math to understand this principle and how it shows up in your life, a basic understanding of physics is sufficient. Gravity is a fundamental principle that happens between objects that have mass. Because the Earth has a lot of mass it has a massive gravitational pull, and keeps us pulled towards the surface of the Earth. This pull is why we are able to walk around and why the moon orbits the earth.

This concept of gravity can be applied to us as humans as well, but instead of the more mass a person/object has that influences their gravitational pull it is how strong of an energetic aura they have that attracts people to them. The stronger and more connected you are to your dreams and desires the more you attract that type of energy into your life. Likewise if we are thinking negative thoughts or focusing on negative outcomes we are likely to attract negative things. I wrote about this previously before, here and here. The point is though the more we think about something the more likely it is to happen and our internal world can influence our outer world far more than we know.  

So with that quick science lesson out of the way, how can we better manage our energetic field and weaponize our energy to attract what we desire. There are a couple easy ways to do this. The first is to focus on what you are capable of and what you have already accomplished. My friend and I call this the everyday resume. It is the consistent, daily reminder of what you have done and what you have created. It is the list that says what you are and what you are about. Furthermore, this tool can be used in conjunction with a win-journal or a gratitude journal as a way to list out your accomplishments or win.

These wins don’t even need to be accolades or things to celebrate. It could be as little as downloading audacity to start your podcast. The little things we do have the biggest impact and and exponential effect on the life that we want to live. When we start to take deliberate action towards what we want, the thing we want starts to be attracted to us and pulled into our gravitational field. We can say we want something as much as we want, but we have to actual action to get it. Once we start to act in a certain way, the universe and world will conspire with you and allow you to achieve that goal.

However in order to do that you must be the one to take the action. Similarly to manifesting a desire, becoming magnetic is an embodiment practice. You need to shift your mindset and focus on your desire and becoming aligned with its energetic frequencies to have it show up in your life. By shifting our mindset away from the negativity we create and attract the life and world that we want.
